Emily VanCamp

Emily Irene VanCamp is a Canadian actress known for her lead roles in a variety of television shows and also for her powerful performances in movies. Her work is a hit on Canadian as well as American television. Emily began to become interested in acting when she was 12. She visited her older sister Katie in the film studio. As Emily discovered her passion for acting, she took acting classes and attended auditions. The first time she was cast, she appeared in commercials for a few minutes before receiving a callback for the Canadian children's horror television show Are You Fearful of Darkness? The show only featured her in one scene, without any dialogue. In the WB television show Glory Days, she received her first big break when she was just 15 years old. Although the show was canceled after only nine episodes, her performance caught the eye of Dawson's Creek writer Greg Berlanti who cast her in his TV show Everwood. Emily was an accomplished ballet dancer and began to take up photography as well. Teen listed her as the number one actress in her 20s. Maxim placed her at number 51 in its Hot 100 of 2014.
