Nadia and Carol
Nadia Comaneci - (born on 12 November 1961 Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej or now Onesti, Romania), Romanian gymnast. The first person in history to score a 10 for a competition at the Olympics. Comaneci was discovered by Bela Karolyi later the Romanian gymnastics coach when she was six years old. Comaneci was the first to compete for time in the 1969 national junior championships and finished 13th. In the following year, she became champion. Three gold medals were awarded in her very first contest, a junior pre-Olympic meet in 1972 for communist countries. Between 1973 and 1974, she became the junior all-round champion. In 1975, she took home 4 gold and 1 silver at her first senior international contest. Lyudmila Torishcheva was a five-time European Champion. She was the winner of the American Cup at the New York City Olympic Games and became the first woman to ever dismount parallel bars with backwards double salto. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. When she was in her teens she started appearing on touring shows like Ice Capades as a skater together with her younger sister Nina Wayne. Carol Marie Wayne was born on September 6 1942 at Chicago Illinois US. Carol was a professional as an entertainer as a teen. When she was a child, she began performing as an ice skater with Nina Wayne in the travelling show of entertainment Ice Capades. These shows included the ice skating of which was performed to music from the stage.
