April Lockhart
April Lockhart, born in 1995 on the 4th day of July, started taking lessons on piano and guitar at age seven. Her interest in creating songs was sparked. April's very first song was called Different. She wrote it when she was 12 years old. At the age of 14, April devoted a great deal of time to making song lyrics and working on her musical skills. After that, she started taking trips to write with her father, who lived in NY and LA. April started to include other subjects in the book, Take My Hand, for the people in her life who are struggling with disabilities, peer pressure or suicide. Lockhart is a popular figure and works as a lifestyle blogger at the popular Ilia clean beauty brand. She was born without a left hand, and it makes her unique. But this isn't the only aspect that makes her unique. Lockhart's profile on Twitter doesn't conceal her status as disabled and does not focus on it. The message? The message is: We all have numerous identities. We're much far more complicated than we believe that we're. I don't want that to be the only thing that defines me. I don't want to be a disability influencer where it's the only thing I talk about because there are other elements to me Lockhart speaks via video from her residence in Nashville. It doesn't impact my day-to-day life I do things normally, and I've discovered my own method of adjusting things. This is also part of my personality, and it should be discussed. Self-acceptance can be a marathon for a lifetime but Lockhart is an absolute inspiration on that front. She admits that she's been through periods of being uncomfortable with her body, at times, feeling insecure to wear particular types of clothes that showed how much of her body. Nowadays, she can wear whatever she likes. She also posts her pictures to social networks. She says that self-love is a journey. I'm not sure whether you'll get to the final stage. However, I believe that's the case for everyone, whatever they are struggling with. The people around you with who truly know you, and can see inside your soul are the ones you should be relying on who can remind you of the things you're worrying about.
